We are a close-knit team of designers who direct and execute interiors and environments from brief through to build. We believe that each space we design should be unique to you - the client.

Our work seeks to achieve this individuality, to meet your aspirations, and to harmonise with the architecture of the building.

OUR TEAM

Philippa Whitaker

Philippa Whitaker leads our interior architecture team.

She graduated from Victoria University in 2003 with a degree in Design and returned to New Zealand in 2009 after working for several years in London for an exclusive boutique interior architecture firm. While working in London she gained valuable experience project managing and designing a large number of high end residential projects throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. Clients ranged from property developers to private residents.

Since being back in New Zealand, Philippa has worked on a wide range of projects including complete house renovations, kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke joinery and many other interior architecture and design projects.
With over 8 years’ experience in the industry, international and local, Philippa strives to develop interior spaces that are tailored to suit her clients.

Hiromi Yang

Hiromi contracts to LIVE, undertaking drawing and specification work. Hiromi trained in the UK, and graduated from Ravensbourne with first class Honours in Interior Architecture. After completing her MA in Architecture and Interior Design at London Metropolitan University, she practiced at internationally integrated design firms in London before moving to Wellington NZ in 2009.

Whilst in London, she was involved in and responsiblefor a wide range of small to large scale retail, hospitality, exhibition, and residential projects from initial concept design through to construction.

She was born in Osaka, Japan, and bought up with opportunities to experience cultural diversity which influences her creativity and contributes to her inspiration. She believes space is an integral part of living, and architecture should encourage a fulfilling lifestyle.

Claire Drake


Claire Drake, our Director, has a long history in interior design in New Zealand. She founded Limited Editions, and is now looking forward to the development of LIVE Interior Architecture + Design.

“LIVE is a new generation studio, which provides our clients with international standards of design and presentation of ideas. Our team has been selected for their wide range of experience in both residential and commercial interior architecture. We are pleased with our first six months, and looking forward to many interesting projects in 2012.”
